It was a suspense movie that cleverly borrowed the setting from (58). However, the film, which was based on the porn industry, received harsh reviews and was a commercial failure.
Perhaps the failure of ``Body Double'' had a strong emotional impact on De Palma, who decided to try a different genre, and chose a comedy film for his next work. After two successive box-office failures, he was at a point where he had no hope for a second chance in his Hollywood career, when a script for ``A Fatal Attraction'' (1987) came to him. The offer for this movie, which became a social phenomenon after its release, was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime Being There. However, De Palma was not satisfied with the script and turned down the offer to direct.

The Untouchables was originally a television series that aired for about four years starting in 1959, starring Robert Stack. Paramount Pictures had the rights to broadcast the TV series, so the plan was to make it into a movie.
The film is based on the true story of the arrest of Al Capone, a criminal gangster who was active in Chicago during the Prohibition era in the 1930s, and the title is ``The Untouchables,'' the autobiography of Elliot Ness, a former Treasury Department agent. It is derived from. Therefore, there are some scenes that are similar between the movie version and the drama version, which are based on the same original work.
For example, Eliot Ness raids a warehouse in a special vehicle, and a similar scene is depicted in the TV series. On the other hand, Eliot Ness' character is somewhat different. At the time the autobiography was made into a movie, it was considered a heroic exaggeration.
