The story began in 1977, when Steven Spielberg went on vacation to Hawaii and met up with George Lucas, who was also on vacation after completing Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope. At that time, Spielberg said, ``I want to direct 007,'' and Lucas said, ``I have a project like this,'' which was ``Raiders.'' The story of ``Raiders'' is quite absurd when you think about it calmly, but there was a big reason why two of the greatest hit makers were so enamored with this project.
