A method that stimulates the audience's imagination and keeps the tension flowing.

There is no end to the charms of ``Jaws''. For first-time viewers, the fear of the looming shark will probably precede everything else, but on the other hand, if you watch it for the first time, your perspective will change a little.

For example, what is irresistibly appealing to me is the structure in which ``the main Monster, the shark, does not appear until about 60 minutes into the movie.'' In other words, the creators managed to maintain the tension by not showing the shark until the middle of the story. I can't help but think that this is where the real appeal of this work lies.

In that regard, of course, the main theme composed by John Williams deserves a lot of credit. The series of those two tones emitted like a danger signal along with the image creeping on the sea surface caused us to think, ``There's something there.'' Are you there!?” I started to get defensive. This is a seaside town after all. There are vast areas where sharks can hide. Fear is omnipresent everywhere.

Spielberg simply flips a switch on the audience's imagination, and all that is left is for the endless horror to start running wild. The future master knew that he could create a more realistic horror by using the audience's imagination than by using even the most sophisticated animatronics.
