How do you reconcile different approaches to acting?

Another important thing here is the difference in "acting approach". Redford and Brad Pitt have completely different ways of preparing for their roles and approaching the actual performance.

First of all, Redford is the type of person who carefully reads scripts and then carefully researches the role. In this way, I firmly develop the character I will be playing within myself, and prepare myself to deal with any situation before going on set.

On the other hand, what about Brad Pitt? Of course, he also reads the script and does a lot of research. However, on set, he is the type of person who values the instantaneous ``inspiration'' that occurs within him.

Therefore, unlike Redford, who goes on set with most of his questions resolved in advance, Brad Pitt worries while acting, or stops filming by suggesting something that suddenly comes to mind, saying, ``How about this idea?'' It is said that there were many times when it was put away.

Although it's a bit of a nuisance from a production standpoint, there is definitely a vision that only he, the main character, can see. According to director Scott, ``Brad has a talent for intuitively finding that ``something'' that dramatically enhances a scene.'' It makes sense that he would later lead Plan B as a producer.

Director Scott was initially worried whether the two players, with their different approaches, would be able to mesh well. However, as expected, the relationship between master and student that was built in ` `A River Runs Through It' ' was solid.

Even though they had different ways of thinking during filming, they were able to overcome the gap while respecting each other. This relationship also perfectly resonates with that of the main characters in ``Spy Game,'' who try to overcome their past grievances. In this way, their acting chemistry blossomed to a high level of quality that far exceeded expectations.
