What is the far north that David Fincher's ``Alien³'' popular science fiction series arrives at?

A series of directors quitting their positions, studios flopping
Now, "Alien 3". The story line and script of this work keep changing during the production process, and the director is also appointed and then withdrawn... The first person officially appointed as director was Renny Harlin, who had gained momentum with the success of Die Hard 2 . Just as the tastes of the first and second works were different, he also wanted something different from the previous two works. I've had enough of running around surrounded by bulkheads and doors. Thinking so, he asked the scriptwriter for something different. The characters Newt and Hicks, who were popular in the previous film, disappeared at this point.
A new screenwriter, David Twohy, who later gained attention as the director of `` Pitch Black '' (2000), was hired to create a story set on a prison planet. Harlin was not satisfied with this and resigned from the project, fed up with the slow progress of production. However, he left behind the novel idea of a quadrupedal Alien that was parasitic on animals.

The next director to be selected was Vincent Ward, who had attracted attention with The Vigil (1984), the first New Zealand film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. He had an idea. A group of hermit-like monks reminiscent of the Middle Ages lived on a wooden artificial planet, following their religious rules. The spaceship carrying The Talented Mr. Ripley crashed there, and the Alien that had been parasitizing Newt was born and went on a rampage.
The Talented Mr. Ripley's story, based on such a thriller, had the deaths of Newt and Hicks in mind. "Why does everyone around me have to die?" - Such thoughts were reflected in the drama as her atonement.
This would work even without Newt or Hicks. The production company, 20th Century Fox, and its staff were enthusiastic about the project, and once the go-ahead was given, the project began moving at breakneck speed. Construction of the sets at Pinewood Studios, London's largest studio, was also progressing. The US release date was also announced, and everything was supposed to be straight toward completion...
However, Fox, concerned about the rising production costs, suddenly changed course and ordered safety measures. Wouldn't it be better to have a rough prison planet than a hard planet like a monastery? Make it a mining planet instead of a plain wooden planet! ...The idea that he had once received permission for was completely overturned, and Ward also resigned.
